Traffic, traffic, traffic. Nowhere to go, roads closed, but all in a good cause!
We, like many, have lost a lot of revenue.
If you take a walk down Lynn High Street you will see many empty shops, while a couple have merged together to help on the rent.
It’s all very well making the town ‘pretty’ but be realistic. You still need revenue and you need shops and businesses to attract people in.
I have a suggestion which I know will be scorned on.
Free parking for at least a month to encourage people back in.
If not, I fear a lot more traders and businesses will go.
I have yet to see anyone drinking coffee on the Tuesday Market Place.
However, I have seen lots of people struggling to park at night when going to the Corn Exchange.
As for the disabled slots, my mother-in-law and I had a very bad experience of that at Christmas. I suggest now, sit in a wheelchair and try to go over the cobbles.
Well, I don’t suppose my rant will get me anywhere but I have tried.
Wake up before it is too late.
