Have your say

The person who wrote (Lynn News, January 1) attacking Turnstone’s opinions on the Hopkins development, the pier, and railway may well feel justified in making these attacks, but would have been better advised to have included a name and address to his diatribe!

I have been writing (mostly) abusive letters for years about John Maiden which has had the effect of water off a duck’s back. He tends to regard critics as some kind of half -wit, particularly if they are councillors.

He genuinely believes that he has the backing of the local MP and the majority of townspeople, and he will continue to do so until someone makes him see sense. Surprisingly the Searles family have never publicly retaliated against the hostility that Turnstone has often shown towards development plans they have proposed. I suggest that anyone who wishes to ‘have a go’at this columnist should not be afraid to leave a name, after all, nothing has happened to me so far!
