Have your say

I was interested to read the apology from the council chiefs regarding the bid for the freedom of the borough for Mick Wright, the former Linnets player.

In my view it would be a feather in the cap for the council if he could have some recognition for his services to local sport and other things. He still holds the record for appearances for a professional player, 1,252 games. If the council is worried about setting a precedent, there has already been one in the town for Joe Dines, a former Lynn player and an Olympic player for the England football team. This, I believe, is in the Friars area somewhere. I hope you can support this, councillors.
