Have your say

The story about Catleughs clothing shop (Lynn News, June 23) brought back a few memories to me.

My grandmother and mother bought many clothes from Catleughs, but neither of them went to the shop in Lynn to buy them. Catleughs employed a roundsman, his name was Mr Plume and he would call on you every two weeks to see what you wanted, then he would deliver them to you the next time he came. You could pay him so much every two weeks. My mother would buy all of our underwear, my school uniform and boots and shoes from Catleughs without ever going into Lynn to the shop – that was the good old days.
