Have your say

If you’re walking down the High Street some time soon, cast your eyes downwards and note the disgusting state our town’s streets are in with thousands of discarded cigarette ends, fast food packaging and used chewing gum just left to decompose over time.

My rates and every other householders’ rates within the borough have increased this year but what has happened to the cleaning of streets or the patrolling of police to enforce the laws of littering? It’s all very well councils complaining that their funding is being cut and services will suffer but just how much does it cost to employ more street cleaners to keep our town clean and tidy?
