Have your say

Following on from aLynn News story about the discussion in council about empty houses, of course we all know about and deplore the idea of houses lying empty for financial reasons, but no thought is given to the blight on neighbouring properties when homes are left to decay.

The house next door to me has been empty for 12 years.

The front garden is full of thistles and the back yard needs to be seen to believed.

Timer lights are fitted to make it appear as though it is occupied. The owners have lied to council reps who have called there “by appointment” to check on it. The council has the right to compulsorarily purchase these properties why don’t they use it ?
