I agree with Karen Kjolsen that the huge sum being wasted on a statue of Henry le Strange could be much better spent.
But not being a trader, I cannot agree with her on the subject of year-round tourism. Hunstanton is a great place to live – for ten months of the year. During the tourist season it is nearly as unpleasant as the over-crowded suburb from which we fled nearly 20 years ago. The planned new housing estates already threaten our tranquility and will eventually ruin what is a nice quiet town. I’m sure many residents agree with me. Unlike Ms Kjolsen, I am not certain what the late Mr le Strange might think. How about it Henry ? One knock for ‘Yes’; two for ‘No’,
