I am a PR student currently studying in Leeds, however my home town is Lynn. I am writing to raise awareness for a young lad named Billy, from Wisbech, who was diagnosed with bone cancer on November 14, 2014, just 15 days before his 20th birthday.

However the cancer hadn’t reduced and he had immediate full leg and half hip amputation on the 21st January 2015.

The NHS are unable to fund a prosthetic limb for this type of amputation and the only way Billy will be able to walk again is with a ‘Helix 3D’ leg and hip prosthetic which will be an initial cost of £70,000 with five yearly servicing and part replacements each time costing £18,500.
