Have your say

We are tracing the family tree of a relation of ours who died last year, as we are having to locate potential beneficiaries to her estate. We have just discovered that the last person we need to trace, John Alfred Parker, was last known of by the Yarmouth branch of his family in the Docking area. John was born to Alfred Parker and Evelyn (née Harvey) in Great Yarmouth in 1939. Alfred was lost from the HMS Jervis in 1940, and we believe Evelyn remarried at some point. John was in the Royal Navy, and on leaving the Navy became a gamekeeper, and then landlord of a pub in Thetford with his then wife Eileen, from whom, we believe, he later separated. Local papers have come up trumps all over the country in helping us to trace the many branches of the Parker family, so we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that your readers will be able to help us put the last piece of the jigsaw in place. We can be contacted on 01502 511546 or by email at flautodolce@corystes.plus.com.
