If you look at the election as a whole, take away all the other political parties, those who never voted and those who never registered, we have the sum total of 24 per cent left who voted Tory.

Mr Cameron says he has a mandate from the UK people to govern with no opposition, well less than a quarter I would be worried as most would. In the local elections, another one million extra votes were cast.
