I was most interested to read Mike Larcey’s letter of March 8, in which he highlights the problems faced by those being reassessed for disability allowance, and the withdrawal of Motability vehicles. From a list of MPs who voted for the cutting of benefit payments to disabled people by £30 a week which was published in the Independent newspaper, it transpires that all seven Tory MPs in Norfolk voted to do so.

I have written to MP Elizabeth Truss to ask her if she feels comfortable reducing people who are already below the breadline further into poverty.

The whole situation fills those of us who look at what is happening to vulnerable people, with absolute horror. What is the reasoning behind the deliberate tightening of the screws, while MPs themselves continue to live in the lap of luxury, in many cases.
