I owe Lynn News readers an apology, having claimed in my letter that a stretch of the A149 south of Redgate Hill, Hunstanton, would be closed during the seven months or so of the work on the new roundabout and road complex associated with the Hopkins Home development.

No excuses: I should have got my facts right

But as the desecration of this beautiful and relatively undeveloped valley begins, the general disruption over the next seven months or so will still be pretty awful. So it is to be hoped for the sake of all those people affected, that things will go smoothly and be finished on schedule.
