In the Lynn News (May 6) I read that Mr Wilton received a fine for parking in a space designated for coaches on Austin Fields car park while he took part in the GEAR run.
You report that the council states that “parking restrictions apply no matter what event is on in town”.
Last summer there was a Second World War event on the Tuesday Market Place and I tried to ply for hire on the taxi rank near Prezzo. There was a white van parked across both spaces. I asked a traffic warden if it could be moved and he said no “because the driver has something to do with the event”. I’m confused.
