Have your say

“Britain has a rich cultural society and migrants enrich us”, so says Mike Larcey, based on the fact that Mary Berry knocked up some foreign nosh on her latest TV programme.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a curry or a nice Chinese take-out as much as the next chap, but I think Mike is rather missing the point. Last year there were 330,000 immigrants allowed into our country, and they were just the legal ones, so heaven knows what the real figure is. The truth of the matter is that the average Joe has had just about enough “enriching” as he can stand. Mike also makes the assumption that all cultures are equal, which is patently untrue, some cultures have some pretty nasty, if not outright unpleasant, aspects to them. Try asking the ordinary Belgian, French or German person what they think to virtually unlimited Muslim immigration – my guess is that they especially have had a bellyfull of enriching migration.
