I have great concerns about the moving of the St James practice to a new site in the middle of nowhere.
I can see that the surgery has no way it can expand on its current site. It is the only practice in the centre of town. It would benefit car owners however; it will become a major trip and a great deal of planning of bus timetables for those non-drivers.
At the moment no matter where anyone lives in Lynn, whether south, north or Gaywood, they can get into town on just one bus. Moving will mean two buses and at today’s prices a cost of at least £5 if buying a return. It may be a better site but is it not a better position. We will also have to hope that they don’t decide to bring in parking charges as is the case that hospital.
