Portsmouth South MP Flick Drummond invited Environment Secretary Liz Truss to Southsea so she can see the work being done around the Castle and to make her aware of the work which is being planned to upgrade the sea defences along the whole sea front.

Have your say

I agree with W J Blundell about the prison service in this country.

The attack on shadow justice secretary Richard Burgon by Liz Truss was a disgrace. Everyone should have the right to strike and withdraw labour regardless of occupation in this day and age. It should be a basic human right to go on strike but yet again it is an establishment and ruling class rule which really should be discarded and has not place in what should be a 21st century progressive country. Without a shadow of a doubt it is this Conservative government and the previous Conservative/Liberal Democrat coalition government that has caused this situation in the prison service with continuous cuts.
