Have your say

I held a reunion for the Aden and Radfan campaign for veterans of the 1st Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment in the Dukes Head Hotel, Lynn, and one of my friends presented to me five lovely framed citations of VC winners from the Norfolks.

The photo of the recipient is at the top of the citation, with the written citation underneath above a Britannia Cap badge.

I feel that they should be on permanent display so the public can honour these men from our county.

I have approached Lynn Museum and several other establishments, but to no avail as rules and regulations on listed buildings come into play, and the interest is not there in some cases. I have approached the Royal Norfolk Museum in Norwich and they have not got the space either.

I find it amazing that these men won the ultimate award for bravery and came from my County of Norfolk and I cannot find a place to display these citations on a permanent basis.

I want no cash reward for these citations only the self satisfaction that they will find a worthy place to be displayed.

If you are interested get in touch with me.

Ex-Warrant Officer, Royal Norfolk Regt, (mortimer_
