Have your say

Soroptimist International of Lynn celebrated International Women’s Day by collecting pre-loved bras and costume jewellery at a shop in the Vancouver Centre.

We would like to extend a huge “thank you” to all of the wonderful, generous people of Lynn who donated items to us. We had one kind widower who brought in his late wife’s bras as he thought she would like them to go to a good cause. There were also a couple of ladies who went off and bought bras so they could help out those less fortunate than themselves. At the moment when so much of the news is filled with tragedy and misery, it is great to be reminded of the simple goodness of ordinary folk. If any of your readers still would like to donate, they can take items along to The Custom House on Purfleet Quay.
