I would like to complain about the diabolical parking on Saddlebow Road when the Adrian Flux Arena has events and fixtures on.

It has now got to the point where people are parking on both sides of the road which causes not only an obstruction but also a major issue for drivers when trying to avoid people stepping out trying to cross the road to either get into the arena or go back to their cars. It is like a free-for-all scrum and there are marshalls from the arena taking charge of the road which in itself isn’t safe.

There was a fatality only a couple of years ago which was on an International event night, how many more have to happen before the authorities step in and make it a red route? On October 29, the traffic was backed up to the South Gates down Nar Ouse Way. This was due to the fact that traffic could not flow past the arena and each side was having to give way to the other. Yes, the arena has a field for parking, but hardly anyone uses it, they would rather park on the road.

I dread to think what would happen if the fire brigade etc was needed in one of the villages like St Germans or St Mary’s because there would definitely be delays due to the lack of road space available on route from Lynn .

There are so many places to park which are not on Saddlebow Road as well as the field provided by the arena. Surely a simple solution would be to just make the road a no stopping zone at any time?

I have also forwarded my concerns to Norfolk County Council .
