In reply to the letter concerning the man who had a three-hour lunch which was spoilt because he had to feed a meter. If he could afford such a sumptuous, long lunch then he should have parked in one of the longer stay car parks in town and paid a bit more.
I drive down the South Quay regularly and in the past it is always the same cars whose drivers arrive early (for work?) and leave no space for the majority and pay nothing. It has long been a perk for the same few and it’s only fair that this should be a ‘pay and display’.
