Have your say

While it is good to know that someone at Norfolk County Council is thinking about Lynn, a park-and-ride solution is not the best way forward.

Some “joined-up thinking” is necessary and some action to provide, dare I say it, non-Norwich new roads.

It is likely that developers will be allowed to add the best part of a thousand houses to South Wootton village and this one proposal will cause total gridlock on Grimston Road which a Park and Ride scheme on the other side of town will not ease in the slightest.

New roads and dualled roads are desperately needed and housing development should be moved out of town, perhaps into newly-created villages. That requires consensus between borough and county councils and indeed within government.

It would also ameliorate the air pollution problems in town and around schools and would ease emergency service access. In the meantime the development at Knights Hill should be embargoed.
