I hope that Mr Cameron and his Tory government enjoyed their Christmas and the thought of all those people flooded out and the 4,000 steel workers and 500 coal miners who have no jobs for the New Year did not upset their festivities too much.
They turned their back on the steel workers and coal miners. The steel workers because Cameron did not want to upset his Chinese partners and the miners because Mrs Thatcher hated them.
Acts are quietly going through Parliament now to take away union powers so workers have no voice. Mr Cameron, visiting the flood areas, could not praise the emergency workers highly enough, rightly so, as did Liz Truss MP. But what hypocrites. The fire crews, rescue teams, police, soldiers, NHS workers are being cut by the Tories to the bone. I find it strange that when we have floods in this country, no one comes to our aid. Use the Foreign Aid money to help these people and build better sea defences.
