I notice our West Norfolk MP has received a knighthood in the New Year Honours List for being an MP for more than 30 years.
I have no doubt he is a very honourable, decent, hardworking MP for his constituents, but not all of them, as he voted for the bedroom tax, cutting tax credits, reducing housing benefit and welfare benefits generally. All the things the poorer people need.
He also voted against a bankers’ bonus tax, mansion tax and against tax increases for people earning more than £150,000 – anything that affects the rich and wealthy. Mr Bellingham celebrates his knighthood and being in a very lucrative job for more than 30 years and a gold-plated pension at the end of it.
