What the hell is our council doing to businesses in Lynn? Don't they want people to visit and use our shops, facilities and come to festivals?
Charging 24 hours on every car park is ludicrous. They are going to kill trade in this town.

And is the council expecting the driver to revisit his vehicle every five hours (including overnight) to renew the ticket?

Come on borough council – give us (and the visitors/tourists) a break!

In the past you have taken up the cudgels regarding overgrown roundabouts and the poor lane markings on the Hardwick Roundabout.

I wonder if it has been drawn to you attention that when the new link road between Saddlebow Roundabout and the South Gates Roundabout opened it was adorned with beautiful working street lights, but for several months now these have not been working!

The midpoint roundabout is completely unlit and even the mandatory keep left bollards are not illuminated.

One asks, if this is because they are faulty, or there is a lack of maintenance as with many unlit street lights, as on the Hardwick Roundabout or the A47, or is it an energy-saving campaign?

Alternatively, if there was no intention for them to illuminate the new road after a short period, would it have saved more money by not installing them in the first place?

Purfleet says: I dunno, but the landscaping is looking good with the turf nice and green and mown and the gardeners busy planting new and/or replacing the dead and dying shrubs highlighted on this page a couple of weeks ago.

  • I'd like to know why those who should be in the know suppose that moving Park High School to a new building on a new site (and giving it a new name?) should improve its standing? I've been to the current school and, as a school, it appears to be purpose made.
