MORE than 400 people attended Ferry Street Boxing Club's latest show at Lynnsport.
Several of the fight fans enjoyed a three-course meal, provided by the Flying Chef, who provided an excellent service as well as a comedian and a number of bouts involving local boxers.

First in the ring for the host club was 12-year-old Ambrose Draper (34 kilos), who took on Corey Vickers from Doncaster.

The Ferry Street youngster dominated the fight from the word go and deservedly gained a unanimous points decision over his opponent.

Light-welterweight Jack Butcher was next up and he continued his recent improvement to overwhelm Dereham's Steve Palmer with his volume of punches.

The referee was left with little option other than to stop the fight in the second round as Butcher picked up his third win in as many weeks.

Aharen May met Mark Stevens from March as both fighters took to the ring with unbeaten records.

Welterweight May used his height and reach advantage to good effect as he claimed his third win in three weeks.

Middleweight Charlie Garrod put up a brave display, but a lack of fitness eventually told as he lost out to Jordan Tilsey from Chatteris.

Exciting welterweight Karl Tansley took on Spencer Hunt from Norwich Boys Club in his fourth fight in a short space of time.

Tansley controlled the fight from start to finish with his speed, movement and punching power to pick up a unanimous points win.

Ferry Street featherweight Daniel Naylor was next up against Northampton's Liam Dearlinger.

A nip-and-tuck contest, which could have gone either way, saw Naylor lose a majority points decision.

Super-heavyweight Leon Zalums took on Doncaster giant Carl Spencer, who stood at 6ft 7.

Spencer dominated affairs with his height and reach advantage as Zalums struggled to get inside his opponent on his way to a second round defeat.

The last bout of the night saw Ferry Street cruiserweight Ben Tansley meet Retford's Carlo Pacifico.

Tansley picked off Pacifico with some nice combinations in the first two rounds, before the Retford boxer hauled himself back into the fight in the third.

After a close fight, Tansley was declared the winner by a majority points decision.

During the night a collection for five-year-old Katie Childs, who is suffering with a brain tumour, raised more than £600 thanks to some kind donations.

Thanks go to the Flying Chef, Lynnsport and all the fight fans who supported the show.
