ALEX Brundle, from Lynn, slipped from second to fourth in the 2008 Formula Palmer Audi Championship after the latest two races at Brands Hatch on Sunday.
Brundle (17), son of ex-Formula 1 ace Martin, finished second in the second 16-lap race having crashed out of the opening race at the 2.3-mile Grand Prix circuit in Kent.

Alex, who is sponsored by Nasstar, Space Universal News Network, Cars International and Daytona Karting, now has 74-points – 16 behind championship leader Jason Moore (Bedford) – after five rounds.

Brundle diced for third place in race one but on lap 11 ran wide, recovered but then collided with another car a few corners later which ended his race in the gravel trap.

Alex, who had claimed his first-ever FPA pole for round five, commented: "I still want that win but I am really happy with the points haul."

Alex finished 11th in the 2007 Formula Palmer Audi Championship and eighth in the FPA Autumn Trophy.

The next three races in the 20-race, eight venue series are staged at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium (May 16-18).
