Coming in at 53-3, he dominated a fifth-wicket partnership of 163 with Andy Walder to take to 236 and post an eventual 266.

Fosters collapsed after an opening stand of 42, with Northwold's Ady Seymour producing miserly bowling of 4-4 in eight-and-a-half overs.

The Creakes squeezed home by one wicket with nine balls to spare, with last pair Whittaker and Edwards hitting the three runs required.

Both teams amazingly recovered from 16-5, with Gooderstone's K.
