Downham B's opening pair Colin Bullock and Ian Stacey almost won the game on their own with a huge stand.

They had brought the scores level when Bullock was caught going for the winning hit for 116, leaving Stacey and Dan Bullock the formality of completing the one run needed for victory.

Gayton had time to spare to set a higher total, but collapsed from 168-5 once top scorer Pettitt was out.
