DOUBLE Olympic gold medal winner Dame Kelly Holmes will be visiting Lynn's King Edward VII High School on Monday.
The 38-year-old will be visiting the school in the afternoon for a couple of hours, possibly getting involved in some coaching or activity, and then attending the KES end of year presentations that evening at the Lynn Corn Exchange.
KES director of sport Paul Tebay said: "We're delighted. It's an honour she's going to come and visit us.
"To have the opportunity to meet someone who's made those acheivements, it doesn't happen every day in Norfolk."
Dame Kelly is a National School Sport Champion, whose role is supported by the Government, the Youth Sport Trust and Norwich Union.
Mr Tebay explained: "She gets hundreds of requests from schools to visit, and I approached the Youth Sport Trust as I've done a lot of work with them. They've been kind enough to make it possible."
Dame Kelly is due to see the facilities like the tennis courts, plus activities in the sports hall and gym.
In 2004 she struck double gold in the Athens (Greece) Olympic Games 800m and 1500m.
As a result in 2005 she was honoured with a Damehood by the Queen in the New Year's honours list. Among her many awards was being named winner of the Laureus World Sports Woman of the Year and BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
She will make her way to KES after visiting Earlham High School in Norwich.
