Norfolk Senior Cup

Third Round.
Downham go to Diss tomorrow for their re-arranged tie due to Diss having an FA Vase game last week.

Town boss Wayne Anderson, who names an unchanged starting XI, said: "It's a big cup game, and it's going to be a battle.

"The lads played well o
n Saturday, and all deserve another chance in the starting XI. We're also training on Thursday, and the lot of them are keen and ready to go.

"I looked at a couple of reserve team players on Tuesday, and a couple of the youngsters looked like good players.

"They just need a bit more weight on them, and they'll be first team material."

Lynn Reserves could have two new faces in when they entertain Tiptree United. They have signed centre-forward Lee White (21) from March and also hope to land a high-profile player, well-known locally, in for the game.

Reserves manager Steve Lilley said: "Lee comes recommended to us, and I've seen him a couple of times.

"We were buoyant in training. It's amazing what three points does for you. We're going in confidently and I expect to get three points."

Martin Rudd is off to America for three weeks, while Matty Calvert returns.

TUESDAY

Division One KO Cup

Preliminary Round

Fakenham Town 0 March 1

Fakenham lost to a goal seven minutes from time.

Ghosts joint manager Stuart Woodhouse said: "It was a very good performance, we deserved to win it."

Julian Delicata had the best chance in the first half, shooting at the keeper in a one-on-one situation.

Scorers for Fakenham (who were 2-0 down) in last weekend's Senior Cup tie were Ben Darby (2) and Delicata.

Division One

Fakenham travel to Godmanchester Rovers.

Woodhouse, who should have an unchanged squad, said: "They're supposed to be a good side if you let them play. We've got to get tight to them."

Swaffham Town entertain March Town United, who are fresh from beating Fakenham in midweek.

Pedlars manager Mick Simmons said: "I'm always the optimist, but we've had them watched and they're potentially better than their position in the table (13th).

"They beat Wisbech last week in the League Cup, and potentially they're a dangerous side. They're young, quick and agile."

Ben Russell may be available after missing last week.
