New Soccersixes Sunday 6-a-side football league team Sixes Madrid caused a stir after turning up at Lynnsport to play wearing a brand new pink kit!
Captain John Greenaway explained: "We decided to buy the new pink kit as we thought it will not clash in colours with other teams. Although it is a bit girly, it is bright so we can see each other easily. It is just a bit of fun!"

The pink kit must have been lucky as Madrid won their first game 3-0!

Local referee, Ken White, said, "When the team turned up, the game I was refereeing just stopped as both teams were staring at the lads wearing their pink kits!

"In fairness, the lads took it quite well and seemed to enjoy the banter.

  • Until the end of May new teams that enter the 6-a-side league will get a brand new free kit from organisers Soccersixes.

The league is FA-affiliated, all equipment is provided. Any standard of teams are welcome – contact soccersixes on 0870 33 00 888 or register online at www.soccersixes.net; email info@soccersixes.net.
