Pelicans Ladies 2nd XI 3

Norwich Dragons 0
PELICANS controlled this game from the start but were unable to break the deadlock in the first half.

Solid defending from Rachael Bowman and Laura Tea ensured that the opposition's chances were kept to a minimum.

After a spirited half-time talk, Pelicans dominated the second half with goals from Jane Major, Francesca Ruffle and Katie Warren.

Nicola Lankfer and Freya LeServe both went close to adding to the score line as Pelicans secured a comfortable win.

Pelicans Ladies 1st XI 1

Cambridge City 1

AFTER a well-deserved victory last week, Pelicans' spirits were high, with new routines devised at training during the week.

However victory was also the only thing on the cards for the top of the league Cambridge City opposition too.

Pelicans started strongly. Stringing together passes in the midfield were Kerry, Picton and Walker, feeding the young forward line of Lemon, Drohan and Heatrick with chances to work the Cambs defence, which they did well.

However chances came and went, as the Cambs defence denied all attempts on goal helped by their extremely able goalkeeper, as the first half was dominated by Pelicans.

In the second half Cambridge scored, but a run and cross from Le Serve on the right enabled Heatrick to slot in a well deserved goal past the unaware keeper.

MoM: Carol Tupper and Jade Collison.
