North Runcton beat

Narborough by 91 runs

North Runcton put in a good all-round display to win by 91 runs.

Batting first, Runcton lost an early wicket but Jim Major hit a rapid 24 before he was lbw with the score on
30.

Ben Skipper (15) and captain, Sean Hemeter (46), compiled a good partnership with Skipper hitting two boundaries before being bowled.

Tom Bunting (10) kept Hemeter company for some time before both were out in quick succession to the wily Turner.

Deep Patel (38) and Ben Coote (35) put on 70 in 11 overs to provide some acceleration and both played some excellent shots.

The innings ended after 40 overs with contributions down the order from Sam Major, Hamdan Nasar and Jack Major.

Opening bowlers Coote and Nasar bowled good spells with a wicket for Nasar and a run out after some smart work by keeper Bunting.

Jack Major and Sangeeth then bowled ten overs each of well flighted off-spin which broke the back of the Narborough innings. Major took five wickets supported by some good catches, particularly from Jon Harvey.

Coote and Nasar returned to finish the innings off and complete a good day for Runcton.

Brown and Co MoM: Jack Major.
