THE West Norfolk sporting community has been rocked by the sudden death of Linnets stalwart Maurice Ebbs.
Mr Ebbs (73) passed away at his home in Wootton yesterday (Thursday) after a brief illness.

He was well known locally for his voluntary work with Lynn FC and his association with the Lynn Table Tennis Association.

As a mark of respect, Linnets players will wear black armbands during the FA cup game at Wroxham tomorrow, while there will be a minute's silence during the next first team game at The Walks.

There will also be a minute's silence at the Lynn Reserve match at The Walks tomorrow.

If you would like to pay tribute to the work of Mr Ebbs, please email greg.plummer@lynnnews.co.uk
