Linnets to have civic reception
THE Linnets have been invited to a civic reception at Lynn Town Hall to celebrate the club's promotion to the Conference.
This will take place on Wednesday, May 14, after the club sealed its first-ever Southern League title.
Elizabeth Nockolds, cabinet member for sports, arts and open spaces at the council, said: "Well done to King's Lynn Football Club.
"We are really proud of what the club, players and fans have achieved this season. It's a real testament to their dedication and commitment and it will give a real boost not only to the club but to the town in general."
Lynn, meanwhile, have revealed their first two pre-season friendlies.
The Walks outfit will host a Norwich City XI on Tuesday, July 29 and three days later Lynn will host errea cup winners Hillingdon Borough in the Southern League Benevolent Shield.
As a kind gesture to the club's loyal fans, Lynn have announced a short-term price freeze on season tickets, which will remain in operation until the end of May.
Linnets chairman Ken Bobbins said: "This is another little thank you on our behalf and I hope to see a good size uptake on our offer.
"We still have to sit down and decide our pricing policy for next season but I suspect there may be increases in some cases due to the extra costings of this new level."
To arrange your season ticket for next season please contact John Fincham at the club on 01553 760060 from Tuesday.
Prices until May 31 are: seating adults £170, concessions £105, children (15 years and under) £50.
Ground: Adults £155, concessions £90, children (15 years and under) £35.
A family season ticket for the main stand (two adults and two children) is priced at £400.
Fans are reminded that the BGB League shield will be paraded by the team and management at this weekend's Reserve game against Newmarket Town at The Walks (Saturday, May 3, 3pm).
Club officials are hoping fans will turn out in their droves to show their appreciation to the team for their achievement of winning the title.
