Lynn's Ryan Bensley was crowned the 2008 Demon Tweeks Yokohama 750 Motor club stock hatch champion after a lights to flag victory at his home circuit at Snetterton.
Bensley took the honours by five points in the final round (15) of the highly competitive series which has boasted more than 100 entries this year, also ensuring him unbeaten at his home circuit.
The showdown for the title was set after round 14
at Oulton Park where Bensley was 16th after spinning on oil on the opening lap, eliminating his championship points lead over main rival Jeff Humphries, putting the pair level on points.
"It was very tense going into the final round," said Bensley. "After Oulton my year-long lead was gone. Winning this championship is a great achievement."
Qualifying at Snetterton saw him take pole with a time eight tenths of a second below the lap record.
Humphries could only manage sixth and third place in the race.
At 24, Bensley becomes the youngest stock hatch champion in history as well as racking up the most ever wins in a season.
