CRAIG Watson has joined Birmingham after the closure of Newport.
The sad passing of Newport club owner Tim Stone has put the club in temporary limbo.

Watson joins the Perry Barr club as a replacement for Henning Bager and will make his debut against Lynn on Sunday.

This is Lynn's next outing – they have no meeting today (Wednesday).

However, there is racing at the Norfolk Arena with Boston hosting Rye House in the Conference League (parade 7.30pm as usual).

Brummies boss Graham Drury said: "I've wanted to sign Craig in the past, he's a rider I rate very highly. He makes us a stronger team."

The Stars were due to meet Newport twice at the end of August, and are moving to rearrange some dates.
