KEVIN Doolan will return from injury tonight (14) and put the Lynn Money Centre Stars back to full strength to take on local rivals, the Rye House Rockets.
Promoter Jonathan Chapman said: "Kevin's back, and he thinks he's 100 per cent fit now."

The Aussie's injury situation (he had a trapped nerve in his back) has obviously made a difference in points recently, as Doolan is a heat leader.

But otherwise Chapman said: "He's been around the team and has been in the pits, so from that point of view it's not been much different."

The Rockets have already visited the Norfolk Arena once this season in the Premier Trophy and were beaten after they lost their star man, Tai Woffinden, in the first heat.

After the Stars' impressive performance against the Reading Racers last Wednesday, they will be hoping to carry on that form even with the Rockets back to full strength themselves.

Tommy Allen, despite having a knee scan, is in the Rockets side.

Nothing though can be taken for granted with the Rockets already winning convincingly at Mildenhall and also running Edinburgh to within four points. Stars team manager, Rob Lyon, weighed up his opponents.

He said: "Rye House are a solid team and have some exciting riders.

"I believe that we will have to watch out for Chris Neath and Tai Woffinden, if these two perform well then we could have a tough meeting ahead.

"It is great to have Kevin back and hopefully he will ease himself in without any problems, it is a great boost for the team and the other riders and I hope we can put a solid victory together."

With the Stars now out of the KO Cup and the Premier Trophy competitions you would be excused for thinking they don't have much to look forward to this season.

In fact the league actually looks like a whole different ball game and the Stars are 100 per cent focused on finishing top of it for the fourth consecutive season.

Stadium boss Buster Chapman said: "We are in a great position currently sitting on six league points with only one home match completed.

"A win on Wednesday night will move us up to second place. For me it's all about keeping yourself within view of the top of the table and I believe we have what it takes to keep ourselves there for the rest of the season.

"I know there will be three or four other teams up there with us and it will probably come to a tight climax, but with the fans' support we have what it takes collect the league title."

Jonathan Chapman has welcomed the better weather arriving at last.

He said: "If it looks dodgy, with the fuel price situation people who are travelling a long way are not going to risk it.

"We had a good crowd last week, and hope we'll get another this week."
On rookie Simon Lambert, Chapman added: "We're very proud of him. It's amazing how much he's improved.

"Simon never caves in under pressure, he really holds it together.
"He's got better and has exceeded everybody's expectations. Hopefully he'll go from strength to strength."

Teams, Stars: 1 Kevin Doolan 10.53, 2 Shaun Tacey 6.88, 3 Tomas Topinka 7.71, 4 Simon Lambert 5.54, 5 Rusty Harrison 5.91, 6 John Oliver 4.64, 7 Kozza Smith 3.27.
