Swimming: Petra swims her fastest times of year

East Region Youth Championships 2008 LYNN Warriors swimmers were in top form this year at the Eastern Region Youth Championships held at the UEA, Norwich.
Petra Chomicz was taking part in her last championships for the club and swam her fastest times of the year so far to win the 50, 100 and 200 breaststroke events, and taking second place in the 200 IM.

Sarah Bowling was in fantastic form to win the 50 and 100 fly, 50 and 200 freestyle and 2nd in the 50 and 100 breast and 400 free.

Dale Hart made the finals in all of his events taking 5th in the 50 and 200 free, 6th in the 100 free and 200 IM and 8th in the 200 back with a good PB.

Ellie Newell swam a massive 2500m in races over the weekend with a big improvement on her times since last year.

Katie Sykes qualified for seven events this year, a huge improvement since last year, finishing outside the finals by 0.4 of a second on four occasions.

Hannah Mounsey showed great determination in the 100 freestyle, improving in the final from the heat with a two-second PB to take 4th place, with a further 4th in the 200 free and 5th in the 400 free.

Among his six races Mark Collins had a strong swim in the 100 free with a 1.5 second PB on his short course time.

Xander Barker made the final in the 50 fly to take a well deserved 6th place.

David Lambert, Ellen Fisher and Emma Bowers all swam well to earn good PB's.

The relay teams of Mark, Dale, Xander and Robbie Mitchell, Ellie, Hannah, Emma, Ellen, Katie, Gaby Balls, Alice Goult and Jemma Brown all performed well in their events.
