Webb: Four players needed to go forward

LINNETS boss Keith Webb doesn't expect there to be any player movement – either in or out of the club – until the middle of next week at the earliest.
Speaking after a meeting with the board on Wednesday, Webb said: "I believe we need another four quality players, with those that what we've already got, to take us forward at the next level.
"The board haven't come up with any financial restraints in any shape or form. It's up to me to pass my recommendations of any quality players that become available on to them and go from there."
On the possible release of players, Webb said: "There may be one or two go, but several of the squad are away on holiday and I won't be able to speak to them until they return."
Webb's playing plans are slightly in limbo by the fact that the Linnets still don't know whether they will be in the Conference North or South next season.
The Walks outfit are expected to have more of an idea by the end of next week, once all of the promotion and relegation issues have been settled and Conference officials have ratified their proposals with the Football Association – although an official announcement may not be made until early June.
So far the Linnets have had no firm offers for last season's leading goalscorer Joe Francis, despite the wide man attracting the interests of a number of clubs.
Both Shaun Carey and Dean West have been linked with the vacant Reserves manager's job after Keith Rudd stepped down at the weekend.
Rudd is expected to remain at the club in some capacity – most probably with the youth team – and Webb said: "Keith wants to have some involvement with the club and to have someone on board with his experience and knowledge will be a big help."
