Adults promoted

AFTER a busy May, which saw the Lynn Kuk Sool Won School achieve first place at the European Championships, the school's adult students (pictured right) set their sights on more personal achievements.

A promotion ceremony was recently held to recognise and promote 26 adult students, who took part in a grading.

School instructor SBN Darren Brown (4th Dahn) presented the students with their next grade and said: “Students should be very proud of their achievements. Their skills are improving all of the time.”

Pictured are the successful students, all of whom promoted to the following grades:

Yellow Stripe: Steve Jubey, Gemma Keeble, Roy Mason.

Yellow Belt: Carl Davies.

Blue Stripe: Claire Olive, Julie Price.

Blue Belt: Peter Olive, Thomas Graver.

Red Stripe: Gary Quinlan, Paul Nicholls.

Red Belt: Bob Sparkes, Andrew Wagg.

Brown Stripe: Claire Campbell, James Driver, Rebecca Aves, Chris Wilkes.

Brown Belt: Rebecca Webster, Ryan Lucas.

Black Stripe: Andrew Aves, Shona Fitness.

Dahn Bo Nim: Francisco Aldrich, Paul Fitness.

Unable to make the photo were Barry Graver and Ben Wilson (Brown Stripes) and Paul Freear and Lewis Catton (Black Stripe).

Kuk sool won is a traditional Korean martial art suitable for all ages.

The school is at Unit 3 Bryggen Road, North Lynn Industrial Estate.
