The King’s Lynn Young Stars speedway side have just one team place for 2015 to fill as Scott Campos will return to the club.
Campos is the sixth rider to sign for next year’s National League campaign.
Young Stars team manager Dale Allitt said of the signing: “Scott is our asset and he is another one who increased his average over last season and showed some improvement.”
The Norfolk Arena outfit need to sign one more rider to complete their 2015 one to seven, while a new team sponsor is also being arranged.
Allitt has four points remaining to play with and says a newcomer to speedway is likely to arrive at the Lynn track.
Campos had a year out before re-joining Lynn last term, and Allitt commented: “Scott needs to up his game if he wants to do Fast Track (Elite League racing for young British riders).
“He came back and increased his average by a point.
“I expect him to push on next year.”
Allitt said it was important to have a balance of youth and experience.
He remarked: “We’ve got a very young side. James Cockle is the oldest at 27, while Scott is 24.
“We have a mix of youth and experience with the likes of Josh Bailey, Ryan Kinsley and Tom Stokes the youngsters.
“I am pretty sure the last rider to be signed will be new to the sport.”
The final member of the Saddlebow Road track side is expected to be announced soon.
Team averages so far: James Cockle (captain) 7.32, Tom Stokes 6.95, Scott Campos 5.53, Shane Hazelden 4.77, Josh Bailey 4.07 and Ryan Kinsley 3.00.
