King’s Lynn Stars will look to further close the gap on the Elite League top four as they go away to struggling Leicester at the Adrian Flux Arena tomorrow night (Saturday 16).

The Roger Warnes Transport Stars reignited their play-off ambitions with a dramatic 47-46 win at Coventry on Monday and a 54-38 win over Leicester on Thursday.

They will now aim to claim another vital three points to boost their chances of reaching the top four play-off spots with a trip to Beaumont Park for the return fixture at the bottom of the table Lions.

Team manager Rob Lyon has called on his side to complete a perfect week with two further wins. “We’re at the stage now where it’s win or bust really, and we then have another important home match against Swindon coming next week.

“It’s all to play for still, and it keeps our chances alive if we can win these meetings. We do have some hope for the rest of the season with a reasonably solid looking line-up, and hopefully now we can take the fight to all of the other teams.”

Carl Wilkinson (pictured) successfully stepped in for former Stars favourite Lewis Kerr as a guest for the injured Simon Lambert at No.2, whilst Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen nabbed his first home win at reserve for Lynn on Thursday after playing a starring role at Brandon on Monday.

Skipper Rory Schlein also makes his Adrian Flux Arena return, plus Robert Lambert is back at No.5 after missing the Coventry meeting with a finger injury.
