Christine wins Midsummer

MIDDLETON

Middleton Hall ladies played their annual Stableford fixture for The Midsummer Trophy in glorious sunshine. The winner was Christine Woolley with 43 points from runner-up Brenda Boldero on 38 points. Both ladies had their handicaps reduced.

Truda Foster and Pamela Ballinger, who are representing Middleton Hall Golf Club in the Daily Mail Foursomes, are through to the Fifth Round of this national competition. They won at Thorney Lakes Golf Club after a close and exciting match.

Results from the medal round played on June 30: Division 1 won by Yvonne Metcalfe (net 65);

Division 2 won by Marie Long (net 68); Division 3 won by Shirley Holmes (net 67); all these ladies have reduced their handicaps.
