Danny boy helps Linnets beat United

TWO goals in the last ten minutes by substiute Danny Bloomfield earned the Linnets a 3-2 home win over Cambridge United in a friendly at The Walks on Saturday.

Lynn had taken the lead through new signing Simon Weaver's header as early as the sixth minute, but United pulled one back mid-way through the first half.

And the visitors went ahead on 74 minutes from the penalty spot.

But the Linnets did not lie down and Danny Bloomfield showed he still retains an eye for goal with two strikes within three minutes to give Lynn a victory in a match which saw numerous substitutions.
