The King’s Lynn Roger Warnes Transport Stars left Coventry’s Brandon Stadium empty handed following a 57-33 defeat on Bank Holiday Monday.

Rob Lyon’s side went into the meeting with three big-hitters missing. Lewis Kerr is nursing a hip injury, while Kenneth Bjerre is out with a hand injury and captain Rory Schlein underwent spinal surgery last night.

With those missing, the Stars side struggled to get going as they slipped four points behind after four races. A heat win did come for the Stars in the fifth, as Robert Lambert and reserve Ashley Morris picked up a 4-2.

But a poor run of form for the Stars saw the home side register four consecutive maximum heats and take control of the meeting with a 20 point lead. Lynn couldn’t close the difference between the sides and in the final four heats, fell further behind.

The meeting ended with the Stars falling to a 24 point defeat, but they did close out the meeting with a 5-1 from guest Michael Palm-Toft and Niels-Kristian Iversen (pictured).
