Wroxham Res 0 Dersingham Rovers 2

Rovers made the trip to high flying Wroxham for the only Premier game of the day.

Rovers started the game much the brighter and could have been two goals up when Alex Clunan and Nelson Moriera had early chances. Rovers finally netted after Maslin put Clunan through to finish.

Rovers started the second half even better. With the back four looking solid it was Rovers who looked like getting the second goal.

Rovers had to bring on manager Gary English and it was his header which fell to the feet of Clunan just inside the Wroxham half. Spotting the keeper off his line, he fired it in to the top corner from 35 yards for a wonder goal.

MoM: The whole team.

Rovers are at home on Saturday, 2pm kick off, against Wroxham Res in the Mummery Cup.

Dersingham Reserves 3 Heacham 0

A local derby for the first round of the Junior Cup drew a decent crowd at the Pastures.

Rovers started well and went 1-0 up after a thunderbolt shot from Aaron Herbert.

Rovers took their foot off the gas and Heacham should have equalised from a header.

Heacham started the second half well and had the chance to equalise from the penalty spot, but skipper Ed Tann hit the post. Rovers got the second goal through Peter Sinclair after good work from Andrew Wood.

‘Dersy’ looked comfortable after that and finished the game off as the hard working Wood got the final goal.

MoM: Lee Toll and Nipper Pearman.

Thanks to Ady Day for taking the warm-up.
