Denver lifted the League Cup trophy after producing their best performance of the season to dominate the final at Fakenham.

The scene was set when Marcus Cumberbatch slotted home his 14th goal of the season after just 57 seconds following first-time touches from Andrew Carter and Matty Willis.

Carter then also took his tally to 14 when he latched on to a through ball from captain Ciaran Pennock-Halpin to fire home after 27 minutes.

Denver, who lie second in the division, made it 3-0 just before half-time when early substitute Matthew Wolfe claimed his 13th of the season after a Darren Thorpe effort came back off the bar.

The victory was sealed in the 83rd minute when Matty Willis raced from the halfway line, rounded the keeper and coolly notched his 16th of the campaign to maintain pole position in the race for Denver’s end-of-season top goalscorer award.
