Norfolk Primary Cup

Fourth Round

Bridgham Utd 3 Denver 1

Two first-half injuries proved too much for an already understrength Denver side as they lost out to South & Central Norfolk Division Two opponents in the last 16.

Denver fell behind after just nine minutes before equalising on the half-hour through an excellent finish from Danny Brooks.

But parity lasted only two minutes before Bridgham went 2-1 up from the penalty spot. Denver were forced into several positional changes after the break and, despite conceding again on 62 minutes, fought bravely to the end.

NORFOLK LEAGUE

The programme was hit by the first wintry weather of the season with several pitches waterlogged.

Second placed Narborough ended Division One leaders Tacolneston’s 100 per cent league record as a result of a 3-2 away defeat and cut Tacolneston’s lead to a point.

Division Two leaders Rockland Utd were held 3-3 at Castle Acre Res. In the only match in Division Four, Rockland Utd Res beat Narborough Res by the odd goal in five.

In a Norfolk Primary Cup all-league clash, 14-0 home winners Marham Wanderers proved far too strong for Swanton Morley Cockers.
