Division One

Downham Tn 1 March 4

The hosts spurned some early chances before losing to their derby rivals March Town United on Tuesday night 4-1.

Downham, who could well have been two or three up, were stunned as the Hares went in 1-0 up thanks to a high looping ball finding the back of the net. The second half saw Downham go 3-0 down before they got one back on 72 minutes with a header into the corner of the net. March added a late goal.

Tomorrow Downham entertain Woodbridge Town.

Swaffham first team are without a Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division fixture tomorrow; their next game is at home to Thetford Town on Tuesday. Jack Defty (pictured) will be fresh from scoring a hat-trick in front of his home crowd last Saturday.

A great 5-1 win for the Reserves away to Long Stratton. Goals from Billy Russell, Joe Porter, Alfie Brindell (2) and Daniel Farr. Tomorrow they are away to Jarrolds in the Norfolk County Junior Cup.

The ‘A’ team claimed a deserved point 3-3 at Gressenhall via Tom McCarthy, Dean Mayes and an own goal. Tomorrow they are away to Mulbarton Wanderers ‘A’.

Also in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier, Fakenham Town travel to Felixstowe & Walton United.
